Mediation can provide an opportunity for elderly family members and their families to participate in a mediation environment that appropriately address challenging decisions relating to the needs and desires of the elderly family member as well as the concerns of family members.

Through mediation several issues can be addressed. They may include concerns such as caregiving for elderly family members, estate disputes, safety and health concerns, decisions regarding the elderly family member’s home, the best place for an elderly family member to live, etc.

A core value of Elderly mediation is the protection of the rights and integrity of the elderly family member.

The goal for mediating elderly concern issues is to help families have an appropriate conversation to address challenging sensitive and emotional issues.
